Bethany is blessed to be a place of learning, growth and community, and several groups partner with us in that effort. Two organizations that we consider to be our community outreach partners have homes within our walls:
C.H.I.L.D. (Creative Hours in Learning Development) is the preschool program for the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview Riverside campus. Currently, there are openings for children ages 31 months to kindergarten age. If you know anyone who might be interested in the program, contact Sarah Marie or Sarah in the C.H.I.L.D. office at (612) 672-2526.
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) CAIR’s vision is to be a leading advocate for justice and mutual understanding. CAIR’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
Bethany is also a meeting place for these good organizations:
Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en Lucha (Center for Workers United in Struggle, or CTUL) is an organization where workers build power to lead the struggle for fair wages, better working conditions, basic respect, and a voice in workplaces. An organization of workers and for workers, CTUL is committed to winning this struggle and to creating a better future for the next generation.
